What should you do if you want to get into real estate investing but don’t know where to start? While it may seem crazy, everyone got their start somewhere! In this blog post we want to help you with a few idea on how to get started investing!
Start a Joint Venture with an Experienced Investor
Having a partner with experience can make a world of difference in your first real estate project. If this is your first flip (or build) learning from someone else’s mistakes can put you on the fast track. This makes sure that you don’t learn the hard way! This can take some of the pressure off, and let you learn from a mentor. Take it from one of our very own Loan Ranger Capital borrowers, Chris.
Chris says: “Loan Ranger Capital was a huge help in helping me start my real estate career. Aside from having a great lender though, my mentor was a huge boost.”
Network like it’s Your Job!
Because it is! Having a great network is key to being a success in investing. You can be a jack of all trades, but this isn’t very practical for scaling. Go out there and meet other investors, escrow officers, contractors, and anyone else who may be able to help you. While this is true, always be leery of “gurus” who say they can make you money overnight. In addition, Like most things, real estate investing takes hard work, but hey, that’s what makes its rewarding! So get out there and go meet people to help you take advantage of new opportunities!
Invest in Passive Income Real Estate
Maybe the renovations and construction seem like a bit much right now. That’s OK! However, you may want to consider a rental or duplex and an alternative. This will give you some real estate exposure while still earning a return on your investment. A duplex could even be a good option if you wanted to move into one side and rent out the other. This way you can live close to where you’re investing!
